The 1st Annual Awards What’s On 4 Me Awards, reward and recognise the people and companies providing the best activities for adults across the UK. Nominations are open until 31st August 2011.

The awards are nominated and voted for 100% by the people that attend these activities every week. The nominations show an appreciation for the valuable, hard work that Activity Leaders and Groups put into the activities they provide.

The County Durham Sport Partnership 8th Annual Awards will celebrate the achievements of those involved in sport and physical activity across the county.

The awards recognise the dedication and hard work of clubs, coaches, volunteers, community groups and schools in developing sport and physical activity in County Durham.

What's On 4 Me are again very proud to sponsor the "Sporting Achievment of the Year" Award 2011.  Last year this Prestigious Award was won by Alex Houston from Consett, a local gymnast who took the Silver Medal at the World Championships in June 2010 - Well Done Alex!

South Yorkshire What's On 4 Me goes LIVE!

Another Franchise has been sold in the South Yorkshire region and Bev O’Sullivan is the very proud owner! Bev brings Travel and Tourism experience and local business experience to the What’s On 4 Me Team – and you can read her biography on line on the South Yorkshire What’s On 4 Me site.

We’re very pleased to have another Franchise on board and Bev is working at tremendous speed and her website is almost 90% ready after only a few short hours of training – I have been astounded at how quick her web development has happened!

Good luck to Bev and her partner Brian who is fully on board too with the South Yorkshire Franchise and we’ll all be keeping an eye on developments in the region!

What's On 4 Me - Winners of Best Brand at the Celebration of Enterprise Award 2010

What's On 4 Me won the Best Brand Award at the Celebration of Enterprise Awards held on 17th November at Halgarth Hall Manor, County Durham.

The What's On 4 Me Team are thrilled! The website has been launched for only 3 months and yet we are already gaining county and national recognition!

We have over 200+ visitors to the County Durham website per day and are proud that our marketing efforts to achieve this have been recognised!

What’s On 4 Me sponsored the Mumandworking Awards 2010, held at the Hilton St. Anne’s Manor, Bracknell on November 4^th.

The 2010 mumandworking awards reward and recognise the companies and individuals that make flexible working possible and show that family-friendly employment not only supports family life but give real benefits to the companies involved.

All of the Finalists are amazing individuals that are proving that flexible, family-friendly employment does work. What’s On 4 Me was very proud to applaud the people and companies that are making this happen.

County Durham Sports Award 2010

Over 380 people from the world of sport and physical activity gathered at the County Durham Sport Partnership 7th Annual Awards Dinner on Friday 15 October 2010 at the Ramside Hall Hotel, Durham to celebrate the achievements of those involved in sport and physical activity across the county. 

The awards recognise the dedication and hard work of clubs, coaches, volunteers, community groups and schools in developing sport and physical activity in County Durham.

The evening kicked off with a dance demonstration by Xtreme Dance Fuzion, a group from Bishop Auckland. Kim Inglis, freelance TV presenter, hosted the evening and guest speaker Derek Redmond, one of Britain’s greatest 400m athletes, inspired the audience with his speech.

Ben Williams, County Durham Sport Executive Director, said: “This event recognises and rewards those who are often the unsung heroes of sport and physical activity. Without their commitment, the future of sport and physical activity in County Durham would not be as positive as it is. The continued success of the awards scheme is thanks to the involvement of all partners.”

What's On 4 Me supported the Veterrimi IV Durham School Rugby Tournament

The four oldest school rugby clubs in the world - Cheltenham College, Durham School, Rugby School and Sherborne School - met at Durham School on Saturday 23 October to celebrate the origins of rugby football. In the morning the four schools played in a “round robin” tournament. In the afternoon the bottom two teams played for the “wooden spoon” and the top two teams will contest the final for the Veterrimi IV trophy.

On the evening of Saturday 23 October the Celebration Ball was held at the Ramside Hotel in aid of the Durham School Sports Fund.

What's On 4 Me was extremely proud to provide support for this tournament and the very worthy Charity.

Hartlepool Round Table is now preparing for their 16th Beer Festival in October at the Borough Hall, Hartlepool. Over 50 real ales and ciders will be on tap across the event that runs over two evenings; Friday 14th October and Saturday 15th October 2011.
