 Cost – Activity days and nights tend to cost around £20 upwards per head. Pole dancing tuition, Quad biking, Go-karting, Pottery lessons can all be arranged at fairly low cost. Nights out tend to involve more money than you really budget for because there tend to be extras that aren’t catered for: taxi’s, food, silly shots(!), club entry, etc. So make sure that when you’re planning that you take these into account! Why not check out the packages on offer – some start as little £79 for a fantastically planned night out in a top destination, including VIP treatment in clubs and bars!
 Here or Abroad – it’s very popular to go abroad, especially if you plan to surface during the day to take in some sun or culture. However the UK has similar attractions for a Party night out and possibly more variety than abroad – so I’d check both options fully. If you decide to go abroad make sure that everyone has adequate insurance – this is a MUST!
 Long weekend or just one night – it can cost as little as £120 per person for 2 nights away with entertainment, so you may decide to make a weekend of it. However, if your budget is £50 per person, don’t despair, there may be options at caravan, camping or Youth hostel sites – some of them now cater especially for party groups!
Is the Party suitable for all guests? – You may need to consider whether to organise one party or two, because will the mother-in-law-to-be really want to go Quad Biking or have Dominatrix tuition? Will the bride’s uncle really want to see you undertake the forfeit of drinking a pint through a sweaty sock? Probably not! So make sure that your party is suitable for all attendees, otherwise, arrange alternatives!
 Get the Experts to organise - there are several online companies who can take all of the hard work out of organising your Stag or Hen Party, for instance Eclipse Leisure organised over 8,000 Stag and Hen Parties last year! They organise hotels, meals, club entry, dance lessons, VIP treament, spa days in a range of destinations and you can "pick and mix" the night or the weekend that you'd like. They're reasonably priced and a great way to take all of the stress out of plannng the perfect party - you just need to turn up with your "L" Plates!!
 L-Plates – although not as popular or essential as they used to be they’re still fun and ensure that everyone knows who the special person is!
Badges, Sashes,& T-Shirts – Hen and Stag parties are now identifiable in any crowd as they’re all wearing similar symbols! Decide well beforehand what your symbols are going to be as T-Shirt printing for instance will involve a degree of planning to establish T-Shirt sizes at the very least! In addition, if you decide to give everyone in the group their own “name” then you’ll have to invent these early on – before badges, sashes and T-Shirts go to print!
Headwear – whether it’s wigs, antlers, horns, bunny ears or hats - to make sure that you all have the same, you’ll have to get these ordered in advance!
 Fancy Dress Outfits – will there be a “theme” to the party? Elvis? Bad Taste? Bunny girls? 70’s? St Trinians? If so, then your group needs to get their outfits ordered / made / scavenged well in advance. However, be aware that many bars and clubs (especially some national chains) have a strict policy to not allow entry to Fancy dress wearers – so check ahead to avoid severe disappointment!

"I like the non cross contamination, two colour theme as it's simple and practical. The boards were easy to use and the fact the boards can be cleaned in the dishwasher is a great plus point! I also like the meat boards gully around the edge to stop any meat juice spilling over the edge. I found myself using the boards separately depending on the task and not having them connected together as they were easier to use. This also had the added benefit of not looking too rude on my worktop...!!
The Big Chopper may also be good for BBQ’s or possibly even going camping. A definite present idea for stag & hen party’s. I am having a dinner party soon so maybe I will be tempted to get my Big Chopper out for that..."
