Mum’s Clubs are usually run by local mum’s who have met through toddler groups, schools or community centres. They aim to provide regular meet-ups where mum’s can meet and chat about the parenting issues.
More established groups will invite guest speakers to broaden their knowledge or party planners to bring their wares along. Some Business Clubs for Mum’s organise a crèche and provide more formal information about the range of opportunities for Mum’s available in the area, including business opportunities and the services of local organisations.

Dad’s Clubs have sprung up as more mum’s and dad’s are sharing the raising of children and breadwinning in the household. This leaves plenty of time where Dad’s want to be mixing in the local community and although there are plenty of opportunities for mum’s this isn’t quite matched yet for Dad’s.

There are many local groups who would love to have you on board with their activities and if you have a particular interest with a few hours a week or a month to spare you will become a great asset to them. And, during helping out, you’ll meet like-minded people!
